Brian Larter Photography bio picture

Welcome to our little place on the web!

We are awesome! I should stop right there….

No I’m kidding, I am a sucker for these things…

We like to shoot a unique, fun and modern look. We love
getting to know you so that by the time the big day rolls around we aren’t just
the photographers we are part of the
team. We like to work from different angles and focus on different things,
Karen is a tea drinker and I am a coffee drinker…so we clearly have different
styles but, when put together we come up with contemporary and exciting things
to do!

More about us? We like long walks in the woods…no really we
do… we have way too many pets and we have a passion for photography that keeps
us inspired every day! Karen is a model and model coach, she likes to use her
skills to help guide everyone to look their best on the big day and I have been
a zealous photographer for the past 8 years. Combined we are a stellar team.

Lost in PEI

PEI_Abandonments-13

As I mentioned before I am in PEI this week shooting a wedding with my good friend Rob MacAusland. PEI is a pretty interesting place. It’s like an island stuck in time in certain areas. It is also full of abandonment’s! And I sure love shooting caved in houses!

We took a drive up along the north shore yesterday in the Cavendish area and found a few amazing examples of abandonment’s. Here is a small sample of what we capture on our travels.

July 17, 2009 - 11:31 am Josh Turk - Sick pics Larter!!

July 17, 2009 - 9:58 pm Nadya - Amazing vistas! Loooove the abandoned buildings. Really really love the first photograph with the field of flowers, though.

November 24, 2009 - 12:55 pm Elissa - Brian these are awesome....I love tumbling down houses at the end of their lives (especially the ones with trees growing up out of the middle of them). Also I love the Island so this is the (or one of a number of) perfect combos. I think the clouds in this really work too....you get a feeling of time carrying on around the houses while they remain and decay. Nice. Good luck w the Comments for Cans, I think it is a great idea.
