Welcome to our little place on the web!

We are awesome! I should stop right there….

No I’m kidding, I am a sucker for these things…

We like to shoot a unique, fun and modern look. We love
getting to know you so that by the time the big day rolls around we aren’t just
the photographers we are part of the
team. We like to work from different angles and focus on different things,
Karen is a tea drinker and I am a coffee drinker…so we clearly have different
styles but, when put together we come up with contemporary and exciting things
to do!

More about us? We like long walks in the woods…no really we
do… we have way too many pets and we have a passion for photography that keeps
us inspired every day! Karen is a model and model coach, she likes to use her
skills to help guide everyone to look their best on the big day and I have been
a zealous photographer for the past 8 years. Combined we are a stellar team.

It’s funny how photography can work. Your hired as a professional photographer for your expertise, skill, equipment and a variety of other things. Some time you utilize all of those and other times you do not, it all depends on the shoot really.

We were hired a while back to do a CD for a local musician and the above photo is what I had in my head after we sat down and discussed the details. The shoot went amazing and everyone was happy.

A few days later we got together to go over the photos and in the end the client choose a photo none of us expected. Normally we take the outtakes out and just show processed final images for selection. We had accidentally left one photo of a photographer taking a photo of the client during the shoot in the pile. this of course is the one she choose.

It’s funny how photography works some times.

April 29, 2010 - 10:35 am Mark Parker - Isn't funny how it works that way? My clients sometimes surprise me with their choices too. I think sometimes they look at an image and remember what they were thinking at the moment the shutter clicks. We don't have the luxury of seeing things from the clients perspective.
