Rainy Day Edits
The rain sometimes really motivates you to sit down in front of the computer and blast away at photo edits, mostly because there isn’t much else to do really. The weather around here for the past week has been a bit dreary but it’s allowed me to get a lot of backed up work done. One of those projects was to add some older photos of mine to my catalog. 63,000 photos later it’s still adding, and we are only about half way done… Now I know you really could care less about the technical side of photo archiving, but this is more about memories. The photos I am adding are from 2007 and 2008 and this was around the time I had met Karen, so I am seeing a lot of the photo sets we first did together. They are not exactly great photos let me tell you but it’s nice to see them none the less. It’s pretty nice to see these again! Anyway on with the show! Tracie + Scott VS the Blue Nose Marathon
The weather this past weekend was absolutely phenomenal! Perfect weather for a engagement shoot … with one exception! The Blue Nose Marathon. Being the great little team of creative collaborators we are though we found some amazing places well away from the crowds and as you can see took some pretty amazing photos! Enjoy!

When you are a kid your mother yells at you not to play in the mud or get your self messy before photos. Now we didn’t go out throw mud at one another, but this field was none the less a huge smelly mess! We were even visited by a Ground Hog. Anyway fun times of course…
Rainy Day Engagement!
Rain or no rain we were getting the job done! I’ve been away in New York City for the past week and came home to an e-mail from Shannon asking if we could get their engagement photos done. With just a little over a month away from their wedding we needed to move fast! Rain and snow where no match for my camera and their cuteness. Engagement are always a blast for us, we get to know the couple better and they get to know us of course. Watch over the next few months for some amazing engagement shoots…less in the rain we hope.

It’s the slow season of the year. We meet clients, book weddings, meet families but there isn’t a whole lot of shooting required. So to keep my head fresh and ideas flowing I bring friends into the studio and shoot. Fun is always had of course and it feels pretty inspirational to snap off the old camera. So this past week the group of wedding photographers that get together each month had another shoot out. This time we went into the dingy basement of the roy building and photographed a very willing model Debbie in a series of dresses and veils. Here are the results!
What do I do in my free time?
I shoot fantastic looking models in fantastic looking dresses. That’s what I do with my free time. A few weekends ago we did a wedding show at the Cunard Center here in Halifax. One of the vendors there, Pink Mascara Accessories had a wide range of dresses and accessories on displayed. We got to talking and said it would be great to get some models and dresses together. So we did just that. Below is the results of that great night!
