Jaydee Bug!

Fun little shoot with two Jaydees sporting some awesome little tutus and big flowers in their hair. You would think I was turning into a baby photographer!
Baby on Board
The last thing I ever claimed to be was a baby photographer. Now don’t get me wrong I love kids I just don’t have the talent that some of my fellow colleagues have in this subject. I always try my best though and I feel these truned out pretty darn good. It’s easy though when your subject is just that cute!

Life is Beautiful

So I have shot with Jacqui a few times in the past, but they always tended to be darker themes. I think she got sick of them and demanded something bright and happy. I left the concept up to her and this was the result, pretty fun if you ask me!
Young Seniors for the win!
I am hitting up the seniors this year! And no not your grandmother. We are talking High School Seniors, seniors with attitude, seniors that are not interested in the typical hat and gown. Seniors with spunk and know what they want in life!
I had the chance to hang out with three very awesome girls last week and do some sock rocking photos! This is Megan and she knew how to make the camera work for her! Watch for more photos later this week!
“Babes” on bikes!
I’m off to Cape Breton for another wedding tomorrow. I’ve been to Cape Breton a total of five times this past summer shooting a variety of weddings, environmental portraits and just generally going on a variety of adventures.
I have to say this past summer has been pretty amazing for me and Karen. We shot in total 17 weddings, 24 family portraits, five child portraits all the while running the studio which has been incredibly busy for the summer months and living our lives. Things have been pretty great.
I still have three weddings left to the 2009 wedding year, but tomorrow I view as the last wedding of the wedding season. I am looking for the short period of Sept to take a break, vegetate a little and just generally decompress from the go go go pace we have been living.
In the mean time while I pack for the trip I leave you with Aiden. Last weekend we had the opportunity to hang out with this little guy. He loves bikes as you can see, there is no doubting that.
The end of the world as we know it!
If you know anything about me then you know my love for anything Post Apocalyptic. Movies, games or novels. Madmax, Waterworld, Fallout, or even any Zombie flicks, they all got my imagination running off in all sorts of directions. And now even with the rise of Steam Punk I feel it was time for a new personal project.
The new personal project that will take place over the next year or so, I decided I wanted to recreate a variety of characters from my imagination, heavily influenced by those movies and games. I’ve recruited a a crazy batch of friends and model to pose and create these characters in their heads. These are simple studio portraits of those characters but eventually we will be getting outside and making wonderful pieces of art.
Watch here on the blog, I’ll be sure to post more photos as we progress with the project.
Cute to the core!
I love it when a couple comes into my studio, and are ready to have a blast. I felt the only thing that would have made this photo shoot better was the theme song from Benny Hill.
Elizabeth had asked me a few weeks ago to do few photos of her and her boyfriend in the studio. Normally I don’t shoot a lot of portraits in the studio as I much prefer the great outdoors for such things. The weather here though has been absolute trash now for over a week and a half so the studio was the best setting. If the end the photos look fantastic and the couple is ecstatic over the results.
Oh the magic of Prom
10 years ago to this day was my prom at Colonel Gray High School back in PEI. I went with my girlfriend at the time, Janaya Gallant. We had fun, only stayed for I think maybe a half hour and then went home and watch some bad movie. I wasn’t much into prom at the time, but looking back I wish I had put more effort into it.
With the ten year school reunion approaching I look back on those years and wonder. Had made other choices in my life where I would be? I am pretty happy with how things turned out. I still talk to a lot of my classmates from then, I am happy where I live and am happy with my job. Life couldn’t be better!
I talked to Samantha a while back about shooting some photos for her before her prom. She seemed so excited for the big day. The weather wasn’t getting her down at all.
I hope you had fun tonight Samantha, you looked great!
Thanks Kelly for assisting and Karen for coaching!
Babies Everywhere!
Babies are so cute, look at little this guy!
He completely took over the studio, owned the place from top to bottom. He got naked on the couch and had NO issues with his figure! One the the best models I have ever worked with…he was constantly putting out great poses and full of smiles and big bright eyes.
This was my first session with a baby this year and I was pretty excited to have the opportunity. It was great over all, I got exactly what i wanted and he didn’t even pee on me!
Ceola
Man did this kid have energy, these photos do not do her justice. The only way a photo could show the energy this kid has would be if every time you touch the keyboard you get a mild shock of electricity. Of course that wouldn’t be a great feeling but it would get across the message.
We had a blast in the back yard, jumping jacks, cartwheels, balancing acts, the list goes on! Oh man…. not to be 29 again, wouldn’t that be nice.
