Match of the century!
We sped off to Cape Breton this past weekend for our friends fantastic wonderful wrestling wedding extravaganza! Or well a wedding at a nice cottage on the beach … same thing really.
It was a gorgeous low key ceremony on the beach, surrounded by friends and family. After the ceremony and a few quick family photos we headed up the road to an abandoned gas station we found earlier in the day. Photo fun was had of course as you can see and we headed back for some amazing food! An extra bonus for us as photographers was that we knew most of the guests outside of the wedding, that was a nice little bonus.
Tomorrow is another fantastic friends wedding down in Isle Madame. Also watch as the photos from our little vacation begin to flow in over the next while as well
And another successful wedding!
And another one is done for the year! What an amazing day! The place was gorgeous, the sky was blue, the weather was warm…oh who am I kidding, it was hot….hot hot hot! We should have been swimming! And just to torture us Kelly wanted to go to the beach!
The day went on without a single hitch! Everythign ran smoothly, the slide show was fantastic, the equipment worked great. Mn this year has just been coming up Milhouse for us in the wedding department. Lets hope the next wedding season we get couples nearly half as cool as this years couples.
Over all though we couldn’t have asked for better weather conditions. And what a fantastic couple, easy going and laid back like you wouldn’t believe. I want to thank Karen for her fantastic model coaching and Kelly for lugging around lights all day. What a team!
Wedding Bliss on the Marina!
We didn’t have the opportunity to meet Jesse and Sarah until the day before their wedding! Thats normally pretty unheard of to meet the bride and groom the day before as there is a lot of planning and organizing on our part before any wedding. We pulled it off though and it was a blast, great couple, great location and great time.
Watch for some more photos coming up soon.
Peggys Cove
One of my goals over the next year with wedding photography is to take ordinary places and make them extraordinary. It’s pretty rare to find a place around Nova Scotia that has not already been shot a hundred times by other photographers. I want to take these places and make them new again.
I am hoping to take some time over the next while and do a shoot in the Public Gardens and Point Pleasant park and make them new and interesting again. I am not saying those places are boring but I want to be able to bring a unique perspective to my photos, a look that no one else has seen.
Above are some photos I did at Peggys Cove. Karen said I couldn’t shoot the lighthouse, but I was sneaky and got it into one of the photos. I hope you enjoy.
Makarowski Wedding!
This past weekend we shot a fantastic wedding with Dènèe and Alex. They where true sports even when the weather wasn’t cooperating. Enjoy your trip down south guys!
