Cans for Comments!
Over the past month of November I was suppose to take part in a fundraiser for Feed NS by taking portraits at the local mall. Sadly things didn’t work out and the event fell through. I wondered what I could do to help. Well I didn’t have a lot of time t do the portraits on my own but still wanted to help in some way.So I came up with comments for Cans! Actually I lie, someone else came up with the idea, but they live far away so it doesn’t matter!
So how does it work? I know how many comments my little blog here on the internet has. So for every comment left between today and a week from today I will donate one can of food for Feed NS. Doesn’t that sound fun? So leave a comment on any blog post here on the blog and I will tally up the numbers next week.
Woohoo!
Hi Brian,
I think this is a great initiative on your part. I’ve been meaning to connect with you for a while anyway, and with the chance to do a little good your campaign pushed me over the edge.
I’m a self described “serious amateur” photographer, i.e. I don’t do it pay the bills, mostly for fun, but also a few paying jobs to keep you real pros on your toes. Do you have any advice or offer any programs to help me develop my skills? I’m looking to avoid intro photo classes, (I know what most of the basics) but ideally would like to shoot with someone more knowledgeable than myself to gain insight from their experience. My current curiosity is around location lighting, is there a piece of gear (soft box etc) that would give me the greatest range of options, and how to use it etc.
Anyway, thanks again for the initiative, great to see it! I think you should donate a can of Ravioli for this one, it’s my favorite
Cheers
Alex

Brain~ what a brilliant idea !
I actually saw the same Campbell Soup pix in the art museum in NYC, but the artist used tons of it to make a picture instead. Still, great thought !

I would like my post to count towards real change and the downfall of global capitalism so people who need food banks can really get some help – but a can is good for now
