2009 was a crazy year for Karen and I. We pretty much started our photography business together shooting weddings. It was a roller coaster of ups and downs, fun times and slaving away to make it all work. Over all we are happy to report it was a rip roaring success! Bring on 2010 baby!

As the first post of many for 2010 I thought it would be a good idea to show off some of our proudest photos from the past year, this is far from all of them. This is just a taste of what is to come. I’m excited to get 2010 started!

As I mentioned before I am in PEI this week shooting a wedding with my good friend Rob MacAusland. PEI is a pretty interesting place. It’s like an island stuck in time in certain areas. It is also full of abandonment’s! And I sure love shooting caved in houses!

We took a drive up along the north shore yesterday in the Cavendish area and found a few amazing examples of abandonment’s. Here is a small sample of what we capture on our travels.

So I am here home on the Island until Monday, shooting a wedding with a good friend Rob MacAusland. Should be a blast. Things as expected have changed, some for the better, some for the not so great. You can’t expect a place to stay stuck in time though, or can you?

I was talking with a friend last night about this. Charlottetown had it’s quaintness going for it. The fact that it was stuck in time made it a little special, special enough that you would want to come here and visit for vacation.

Now it’s still a great place to come, don’t get me wrong. But it’s just not the same any more. Things are too much like how they are in any of the larger cities. There isn’t anything that makes it special any more…Well, at least Bubbas is still there.
